Each student is assigned a mentor group consisting from eight to twelve students with three to four adult mentors. The mentor groups serve as the foundation which the rest of the programming flows. There are also professor-led simulated classes, enrichment workshops, and social and cultural programming.

The college guidance component of Camp College consists of workshops that explore the college search process, course selection, essay writing, interviewing, the college search timeline, financial aid and more.
