Executive Board Position Nomination Deadline

The New York State Association for College Admission Counseling (NYSACAC) Nominating Committee invites you to participate in the nomination and election of new officers and delegates. The deadline for nominations is Friday, January 22nd, 2021.

All nominees must be NYSACAC members in good standing by Friday, January 22nd, 2021.

Please review the job descriptions and understand the commitment you or your nominee will make. All elected Executive Board positions require attendance at six annual NYSACAC Executive Board meetings, including the Summer Leadership Meeting (typically held in July or August) and the annual NACAC National Conference. An officer of the Executive Board requires administrative support in order to be excused from professional responsibilities for attendance at meetings and conferences.  

We are looking to elect individuals for the following positions:

  • President Elect (1 year term)
  • Secretary (2 year term)
  • Vice President for Professional Development (3 year term)
  • High School/CBO Delegates (3 year term) - 2 positions available
  • College Delegates (3 year term) - 2 positions available
After the Nominating Committee receives the nomination submissions, each nominee will be contacted to provide a photo and write up for their candidacy. All nominees who submit these materials will be given equal consideration for a spot on the slate of candidates. The Nomination Committee will select the slate. Attention in the selection process will be given to professional credentials (including service to NYSACAC), geographic distribution, diversity, and public/private school affiliation. The committee will contact all nominees with their decision on the final slate of candidates. Once again, nominations must be submitted electronically no later than January 22nd, 2021.
