The Position

This role in the governance structure involves leadership at both the state and national levels. The President-Elect is responsible for planning the NYSACAC Annual Conference, and for providing regular updates to the membership and Executive Board. In addition, the President-Elect is a member of the Affiliate Presidents Council (APC), a body composed of Presidents, Past Presidents and Presidents-Elect for the state and regional associations. The Presidents Council typically meets several times throughout the year for professional development and leadership activities. The President-Elect is prepared to assume the Office of President in the current President’s absence. The term of office for President-Elect is one year.
