Job Summary:

The Joseph S. Murphy Institute (JSMI) for Worker Education and Labor Studies, under the School of Professional Studies of the Graduate Center is a collaboration between the University and New York City labor unions, for the purpose of serving the educational, policy and research needs of unions and their members. The Institute is comprised of two centers:Worker Education, and Labor, Community and Policy Studies.
The mission of the Center for Worker Education is to offer undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs to working adult students and union members, to expand their access within theCUNY system, and to partner with labor unions and employers to address the training and education needs of union members.
The Coordinator of Offsite Programs will be a member of the Worker Education staff and will be responsible for carrying out several functions of the Institute’s external programs and admissions services to recruit and serve potential students.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for enrollment services working with labor unions, union members and CUNY, to identify and serve potential students that will enroll in the Institute’s programs and CUNY; will coordinate admissions and student services; oversee recruitment and support staff; plan and coordinate enrollment activities; track data, maintain records; prepare reports; other duties required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred; minimum four years experience in higher education administration; two years in supervisory position required; ability to work in a complex environment.  Recruitment skills preferred
