Job Summary:
Alfred University seeks a dynamic individual to join the Admissions team as an Assistant Director. A successful candidate will have: previous experience as a counselor/recruiter in a collegiate admission office with ;graduate recruitment responsibility; the ability to work/travel independently and set priorities to achieve goals/objectives; flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, and overnight stays; excellent written/oral communication skills and confidence speaking in small/large groups and with people from diverse backgrounds; the ability to understand and use technology (e.g., Microsoft Office and email); a desire to work in a data driven environment and participate as a team member in a high energy office; a good-sense of humor.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all phases of the recruitment and enrollment of new graduate students to the University. Work includes implementing a prospect management initiative, recruitment travel, interviewing prospective students, application review, serving as liaison to the Graduate School and coordinating on and off-campus activities and events. In addition, the Assistant Director will assist with undergraduate recruitment initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. Two years admissions experience desirable. A valid driver’s license is required.
