Charge
The charge of the Media, Marketing and Technology Committee is to promote our organization to both New York State members as well as enhance our image and voice at the national level. This must be done via all mediums, including our web site and new technical initiatives as they evolve. The committee is divided into two major components, including Public Relations and Web activities.
Responsibilities of the Chair/Co-Chairs
Public Relations Activities
- Seek out media opportunities to speak about NYSACAC.
- Act in an advisory capacity for each committee on public relations techniques.
- Be proactive in soliciting information from committee chairs about their activities.
- Educate new chairs on how to prepare brochures, set time lines for printing, write press releases and in general how to be effective in overall communication techniques.
- Promote visibility in the NACAC bulletin.
- Promote counseling and admissions as a profession.
Web Related Activities
- Look at overall view of association as it is presented on the web.
- Create, monitor and determine how we use the web and make suggestions to the executive board regarding these issues.
- Act as a clearinghouse for membership in terms of what appears on the web.
