Article XIII: Amendments
Section 1: The Articles of Organization and By-Laws may be amended at any general meeting by a two third’s vote of the members present and voting, provided that noticed of the proposed amendment has been sent to the members at least one month in advance of the meeting. An amendment not thus proposed in advance may be adopted by a four-fifth’s vote of the members present and voting.
Section 2: The Articles of Organization and By-Laws shall be reviewed annually to ensure that they are consistent with NACAC’S governing documents.
A. Within one year of any amendment to the NACAC By-Laws, the Association’s By-Laws will be reviewed, under the direction of the immediate past president and appropriate amendments will be adopted to maintain consistency.
Section 3: Any amendment to the Articles of Organization prior to a vote by the membership must be reviewed by legal counsel.
